For kids ages 5 (completed one year of Kindergarten) to entering the 7th grade. The fee for this program is going up in 2007.
8th graders are eligible for our junior counselor program, fondly known as the JC’s The Park program is held at the Heady Field/Memorial Park complex each morning from 9 to 12. We have many special events and field trips such as Roller Skating, Camel Beach, a Yankee Game, etc) besides our normal activities such as games, crafts, story hours, etc. There are many activities to suit kids of all ages.
Park children may also sign up for "Afternoon at the Lake" from 1 to 3 pm each day. Park Assistants will supervise children during this time. Registration will be held by mail and at the Community Center in June. There will be one final, in person sign-up just before the Park Opens. No late registrations will be accepted except for persons who have moved into the Boro after sign-ups.
Park Lakes is open every day. Swim lessons should be available for kids from beginners to expert. We also hope to be able to offer Life Guarding Classes.
About mid-season, the Water Carnival is held. The lake opens at the end of June and runs though mid-August. Badges required.
